There is one important element that you should always bear in mind, and that is... for you to make money from your website "you need a steady flow of traffic." If no one goes to your site you WILL NOT make any sales.
While there are various ways of generating traffic to your site, most people don't have the resources required to do PPC, Ezines, solo ads or some of the other paid advertising to generate the traffic that they need.
The good news is that you don't have to spend a dime to get traffic. It might take you a while longer and a bit more work, but it can be done.
What you need is some basic guidelines and a lot of determination. Getting free traffic is not all that easy, but with time, hard work and some research it can be accomplished and will be well worth it.
Write Good Content For Your Site
Make sure that the content that you write is entertaining and informational. It should contain certain keywords relevant to your site and targeted to your niche market.
You can create this content yourself... use private label content or hire a professional content writer. However, as we're talking about free methods... there are free reports and mini courses that can show you how to write your own content.
What you need to keep in mind here when adding content to your site, is that the search engines track down the keywords and key phrases that people are searching for on the internet... and then index your pages based on how they are used.
Article Writing
Write articles that grab the attention of people who are interested in the product or service that you provide. Try writing articles that will provide relevant information and tips that will make them want to visit your site for more.
After writing your articles you can submit them to article directories with a link back to your site. Many sites offer free submission and posting of your articles.
When people find things of interest in your articles there's a good chance of them following your link to find out where the article originated.
Always include a link or a brief description of your website with the article, and there’s a good chance that they will visit your site.
Again if you don't want to write the articles yourself you can use private label content or hire a content writer.
Provide A Free Newsletter And Build Your List
Provide a free newsletter. This is a great way to ensure repeat visits to your site. Offer your visitors interesting and entertaining articles that relate to your site.
Provide them with site updates or a catalog of your products. You can also bribe them with free offers for signing up to receive emails from you.
By getting them into your auto-responder you will have the ability to contact them and build a relationship with them. You can also encourage them to recommend your site to others.
