Affiliate marketing was really made big by Amazon, and it has since spread like wildfire. Companies have long known that word of mouth advertising was great, but paying the average citizen to herald their wares was even better.

Find one or a few of your favorite companies, service providers or places to shop...
Go to their website and search for the term "affiliates" - If you see it, you may find that they offer an affiliate program...
Sign up, get your link or phone number and spread the word - You can send emails, make phone calls, hand out fliers or shout it from the rooftops.
When you find something you really love, you'll refer sales much more easily than if you find something that pays more and try to market it just for that reason.
Keep adding more programs to your list of products to refer and with time and a little work, you could be earning some good money. Work at home was never more simple!
