5. Visits leading to no sales:
Affiliates say that they receive a number of visitors to their site but none results in any sale. For this the best method is to use effective pre-selling. Also it is necessary o get a hold of their name and email address to communicate with them further, but at the same time ensure that the emails are not spammish as this would make them withdraw. This helps in building relations and ultimately can lead to sales.
6. Monotonous:
The affiliate sites are usually monotonous and do not come across as interesting. It is essential to personalize your website to develop a personality of its own. This helps to build associations in the people's mind and understands what the site is all. They will continue to visit the site and also consult the site for their various needs.
7. Cheated out of your commission:
Many a time's affiliates are cheated out of their commission by the merchant company. This is because there is no way to ensure that the prospective was successfully converted into a customer with the affiliate. It is necessary for the affiliate to keep track of this even though it is not fool proof.
8. Weak business foundation:
Affiliates tend to develop weak business in the hope of earning high commission. This may prove useful in the short run but for a business this is fatal. It is necessary to progress with a business that provides value to the users. Even if the site is small ensure that it is useful, strong and helps the people. In this way the readers themselves will do a part of your marketing. This also provides you with a sense of achievement while simultaneously increasing your profits.
