Effective sponsoring skills are the foundation of your network marketing business. If you can't sponsor new people into your business regularly, you WILL NOT have one for very long. This is the major problem that most network marketers have and many of them DO NOT know how to overcome this.
There are skills involved here that has to be learned by anyone who wants to build a successful network marketing business. Unfortunately, not many are willing to learn the basic principles necessary, so they continue to fail. But you don't have to!
Network marketing is just like any other business. IT IS A BUSINESS! It is so unfortunate that many people get started in a network marketing program and do not make the effort to learn the fundamental principles that they will need to become successful.
A professional like a doctor, or a lawyer goes to school for many years to learn the skills they require to get a job and earn a good living. However, someone decides to build a business by joining a network marketing opportunity to make a six figure income, but is not willing to spend the time to learn the skills required to do it right. What's the logic?
The #1 skill of network marketing success is sponsoring. If you can't sponsor new members your business is doomed to fail. Yet so many people are not willing to learn the simple techniques that can create an extra-ordinary lifestyle for them.
If you are still struggling to sponsor new members here are 3 foundational principles that can greatly enhance your sponsoring:
1. Work on your posture -- You should develop a daily routine of working on your posture, or your attitude. This has to do with your enthusiasm, your confidence, your energy etc. For you to attract quality prospects you will have to project an image of confidence. The foundation for this is a good self esteem.
You will be dealing with people, so you will have to learn good people skills. To develop the right posture you will need to work on yourself by going through a personal development phase to sharpen your people skills, gain the knowledge and expertise about your business and have a clear vision of where you want to go with your business.
2. You MUST get away from being attached emotionally when talking to your prospect. You do not want to allow your prospect to know how desperate you are to get them into your business. Project an air of professionalism, never allow them to dictate the proceedings.
When your prospect see how confident you are and don't really care whether or not they join your business, they will be more attracted to you. Practice this technique, even if this is the first person you are talking to. As time goes by it will become second nature and you will attract more quality prospects to your business.
3. Always make sure you have more prospects than you can handle. This will allow you to develop a sense of urgency in your interviews. When you have a lot of leads you just do the numbers and select the ones who you want to work with.
When your prospects see that you are not depending on them to join your business they are much more likely to join you. The other side to this is that you will get plenty of practice to develop your posture to the highest level.
CONCLUSION
Sponsoring is the HOLY GRAIL of network marketing. Without this basic skill you will not be able to build a successful business. Remember, success in life or in network marketing is 80% emotional intelligence (EQ) -- and you have TOTAL control over that. Get this one skill right and you're home free.
