Most of the people who have been in MLM or network marketing have bought leads at some point in time. Quite possibly, you were told by your sponsor or upline to make your list of names, talk to your friends and family and to buy opportunity leads.
Now, while there are some people who have built their business over the years by using this method, most people do not get good results from this. Many of us find this a complete waste of time and money, so why do so many people continue to do it just the same?
Your business will not grow unless you have a continuous supply of fresh leads who are interested in your business, but buying deadbeat opportunity leads might not be the most effective method for you to build your business. This could be very costly and time consuming.
Here are 3 compelling reasons why you should NOT waste your time and hard earned cash on opportunity leads:
1. Based on my experience, most leads are completely generic. They are called "opportunity leads" for a reason. They are opportunity seekers! They optin to every page that they come across just for the sake of opting in.
Most of these people don't even remember opting in to receive information from anyone. They are skeptical and sometimes rude when you call them on the phone, but can you blame them?
These people view you as imposing on their privacy by trying to sell them something or to get them to join your business. Many of them have no money, don't want to own a business and are sometimes just looking for a "work at home job".
Are these who you want to be relying on to build your financial independence?
2. Lead companies are in the business to make money and do not necessarily have your interest at heart. They sell their leads all over the industry to maximize their profits. By the time you get some of these leads they might have been sold 10 times or more. No wonder some of these people are verbally abusive when you call them.
You might be able to get a limited amount of quality leads from a few companies; however, you will have to pay a very high price for them and it's not a guarantee that they will be interested in your offer.
Can you afford to pay $10 or $20 per lead not knowing whether or not they will join your business?
3. The next big issue is the numbers. MLM, network marketing or internet marketing is a numbers game. It is how many people you can get to see your offer in a certain period of time. Not everyone who see your offer will be interested, so you need maximum exposure.
Buying 500 opportunity leads and spending all week to call them, only to find out that these are not who you are looking to partner with is a complete waste of time and money. This has lead to many disappointments and crushed dreams in this industry.
CONCLUSION
Why put yourself through all that grief when you can easily attract your own leads? By just plugging into a PROVEN system and learning some basic concepts -- you can start attracting 10, 15, 20 or more qualified leads daily who are interested in your offer. With these leads you stand a much better chance of getting some to join your business. You just have to learn the skills that are required.
Learning how to generate your own leads is the only way to get on top of this situation. If this is the only activity that you do today, start learning this very important skill and watch your business grow in ways that you have never thought possible.
