One of the most important element in creating a profitable long term business on the internet is to build a huge subscriber list. This is what separates low income ordinary affiliates from high income super affiliates.
When getting started on the internet most people are intimidated by the thought of building a website, so they just join affiliate programs and hope that they make a sale. To make money this way you have to be very good at promoting your affiliate link, not to mention the effectiveness of the sales page conversion.

To get the best results with your leads capture page you need to follow some important guidelines. Different teachers and mentors have various ideas, but the basic format for creating an effective direct response leads capture page is:
1. Bold Attention Capturing Headline - The first thing that your prospect will see when they visit your page is your headline... and that's why it is critical to spend some time on this to get it right. You should not only focus on the words here, but also on the fonts that you use with regards to size and color.
2. Simple, Uncluttered Design With Few Graphics If Any - What you need to remember here is that people's attention span is very limited. Your one goal is to induce your visitor to optin on your page. If you have a variety of unnecessary graphics and banners on your page, you will just be distracting them from doing what you want them to do.
3. Compact And Centered Formatting - To accomplish this you need to place your text within a table. There are no set rules as to the width of your table, but I tend to get a better response from pages that are 600 or 650 pixels wide. This calls for experimenting, tracking and testing.
4. Benefits And Important Information Highlighted - This approach could be similar to a regular sales page where you would have bulleted or numbered benefits... and important information bolded or highlighted in different colors. You could also experiment with different fonts here, but stay close to the basic ones.
5. A Definite Call To Action - As I said before your goal here is to get your visitors to take action, which in this case is to get visitors to opt-in so you can capture their names. DON'T pay attention to the fancy designs that you see floating around. Many of them are not getting any optins.
The only technical stuff that you will have on your site is the opt-in form and this will be generated from your autoresponder, so there's no hassle on your part. Just follow the simple instructions when setting up your autoresponder and you're good to go.
Now these are by no means set rules, but they are the basic outline and ideas that many successful affiliate marketers live by. The ONLy way to know for sure is to test and track your marketing efforts all the time.
VERY IMPORTANT: Be creative here, BUT, do NOT mislead your visitors. The internet is a very fertile place to make money, but it can also be very un-forgiving. Protect your credibility at all cost!
